My Journey in Medicine

I chose to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology because I value the ability to connect with women and help them take care of their health as they journey through life. There is a special depth of trust between a patient and their OB-GYN, which I cherish and is what makes my specialty so unique.

Guiding my patients through their pregnancies and being by their side as they deliver their babies is the most rewarding part of my work. Being a new mom gives me a deep appreciation for my pregnant patients and those wanting to start a family, and I look up to my patients who are entering perimenopause and menopause.

My specific areas of interest within the field include high-risk obstetrics and minimally invasive surgery. I’m also passionate about patient education. Each day, I’m driven to inspire and empower my patients through knowledge so we can make decisions together about their health. For my younger patients, I’m dedicated to educating them about their cycles, different methods of contraception, health care, and relationships. For those trying to get pregnant, I tell them about the importance of understanding their bodies and self-care. Pregnancy brings so many changes, both emotional and physical. My biggest piece of advice is to give yourself grace and get a good body pillow!

I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Flo, as I feel it’s a very powerful tool to learn about your body and give important information to your health care provider.
